As with Taurus revolvers, they use I's (vertical lines) that are easily mistaken for. Dan Wesson revolvers have serial numbers stamped on the side of the frame. Went to Taurus website put in serial number and nothing came up. The process, however, is pending a judge's final ruling on a settlement.
